[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- Quinn’s week had been pretty hectic, with school and glee club, even her mom was irritating her. It had definitely not been her best week ever, far from it. So, the blonde had got up early on Saturday morning in the hope that she’d be able to sneak out without her mother noticing she was awake. That’s why she immediately started to get washed and dressed; being as quiet as she possibly could because she didn’t want to wake her mom. She quickly grabbed her purse and put on her shoes, before grabbing a pen and leaving a note for her mom so that she wouldn’t start having a panic attack when she realized her daughter wasn’t in the house. The note read: Gone out for a while, be back soon. Love, Quinn xox
She left the note on the coffee table and then slowly opened the door, stepping outside and quietly shutting it behind her. Quinn smiled, before checking her hair and makeup in the window that was so reflective it could be used as a mirror. Then, she made her way down the street. The birds were singing in the trees and there was hardly anyone else walking the paths yet, which was a good thing. The blonde knew where she was going, the Lima Bean. It would be quieter than usual at this time, plus she hadn’t had any coffee or breakfast before she left and she needed food and drink to function properly. So, she rounded the familiar bends in the street as she came up to the little shop which was kind of a Glee Club hang out. The blonde smiled and opened the door; she didn’t see anyone she recognized which was sort of a good thing. Quinn went up to the counter to order some coffee, because there wasn’t a queue at eleven in the morning. When the worker handed her the coffee she had ordered, she took it and went to go sit down in the corner. Her usual place, after all this was also one of her favourite hang outs too.

just cause she's probably gonna be the only one i can thread with and have graphics of them together haha It was a typical Saturday morning for Dylan. It was his fifth in Lima, Ohio now. For the last four he had done the same thing just like any morning. His alarm went off at seven am and he got up and got ready for work. He thought for once it would be nice to sleep in on a Saturday like he used to be able to when all he had to worry about was school, but now he was on his own an he had to make money so he could most definitely stay out on his own. So that's what he did. He rolled over and turned off his alarm and threw the blanket off of him, getting out of bed and taking a shower. Before leaving his house for work he would have the usual. A milkshake he made and one of those breakfast bars to tie him over till he got to work and whipped himself up something to eat. He headed out the door of his place - locking it behind him - and headed off walking down the street towards work. He didn't quite have a car yet to get around. He rode up by bus and his father brought the rest of his stuff by truck about a week later before heading back home. You know the rents have to approve of where you living and all. After all that, Dylan was offically on his own.
He got to work and unlocked the front door. They hired him on to open the place every morning and that was his set shift. Mornings with Wed and Thursday off. He did his normal routine when he first got there. Turned on the radio so he had music to listen too while opening, and prepped everything for the day.
It was already around eleven when he looked at the clock again. The place had been opened for about three hours and of course they had their rushes of people still heading into work or just those hanging out for a bit, but no it was calm and quiet, with not many around. The time he kinda enjoyed because it was break time! He came out from the back and got himself a cup of coffee before telling the other person working he was going on break. He headed around the counter to find a table and sit down to enjoy his coffee and time off the workplace - even if it was only for fifteen or twenty minutes. He rounded the corner and seen just about the same people that were there before with the exceptiom of one. A blonde girl in a corner table. He wasn't sure if she needed anything else besides the coffee she was drinking because he hadn't seen her come in, or how long she might have been there already. He made his way over with his cup in hand and stopped in front of the table. "Hi. Can I get you anything else?" he asked wanting to make sure everyone had what they needed before his break offically started.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- Quinn sat, silently looking out of the window and thinking about the week that had just passed. She kept feeling her phone vibrating in her pocket but ignored it because she knew it’d be from her mom asking her where she was. Her mom had always been paranoid every since she’d been pregnant in sophomore year, so she was kind of used to it now. Though, Quinn had learnt by her mistakes and would never do that again but she did respect her mom for caring about her so much. The blonde was so lost in her own thoughts that everything else seemed to disappear as she watched the cars pass through the window, one by one.
That’s when she heard someone talking and the sound pulled her out of her own thoughts, returning her to reality. “Hi. Can I get you anything else?” She heard the boy say and turned to look at him, smiling. She didn’t recognize the voice or the boy, but she was polite anyway. “No thanks, I’m good.” Quinn replied, still smiling. That’s when she thought back to something she heard her mom say a few days ago ‘Have you met the new guy yet? He works at that Lima Bean place don’t know much about him but heard the other parents talking earlier.’ Her mom had informed her, but Quinn hadn’t been taking that much attention. Though, she did remember some of what she’d said. So, she decided to start up a conversation with the guy. After all, it’d be good to make friends to someone new, plus she didn’t want him thinking she was impolite and rude.
“Hey, ermm... you’re the new kid right? Dylan?” She remembered the name, before realizing that she probably sounded like some stalker or something. “Sorry, small town – News travels fast.” Quinn muttered, explaining. Her cheeks flushed a light pink, but it soon faded back into her normal pink dimples. The blonde hoped she hadn’t creeped him out or anything, that wouldn’t be good. Though, if he’d come from a small town before then he might understand.

Dylan stood with a smile as he waited for the girl to answer his question. She seemed to be off in her own thoughts looking out the window. He didn't mean to interuppt, more it was his job to make sure that the customers had what they needed. Came with the job. When she told him she didn't need anything else he smiled again and nodded. "Ok, just making sure before I went on break." he told her politely and before he could walk off she mentioned him being the new kid. He paused and looked at her curiously trying to picture her if he knew her or something from somewhere. He hadn't really bumped into anyone yet, and he didn't recall her being in the lima bean when he worked until today. He probably would have remembered her face since it was so loving to look at.
"That's me." he stated with a hesitance sound to his voice feeling like an idiot if he had met her already and couldn't remember her. "Do I know you?" he asked softly before she answered with the small town and news travelling fast bit. He sighed with relief of not feeling like an idiot. "Oh..yea. I just got here about a month ago." he told her with a nod. "People already know me?" he asked curiously as to the fast news travel. Though he was from a small town too so he understood the unfamilar faces had to be found out and quick. "Small town though, I'm used to it. Left one to find another." he laughed slightly before realizing he hadn't asked her name yet. "Sorry, you're?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- Quinn smiled, listening to him as he spoke. She wasn’t going to be nosy and start asking loads of questions about him; after all she wasn’t the curious type. She trusted her instincts, if she thought someone was nice she liked them, if she didn’t she didn’t. Simple as, and she felt like this guy was actually quite nice. Though, she didn’t really know him but there was something about him that pointed out that he was a good guy. Plus, she knew the feeling of being the new kid and it was tough, especially in Lima. So, she may as well be nice to him. The last thing she wanted was another enemy, while she was still trying to patch things up with Santana and find a way to annoy the crap out of Rachel.
She smiled at him as he asked about people knowing him, and then said something about coming from a small town and arriving in another one. “Yeah, you’ll soon figure out that there are some people,” Quinn automatically thinking about Santana and Rachel, because they had the biggest mouths in the history of forever. “that cannot keep their mouths shut. This whole town basically runs on gossip.” She continued, still smiling at him. She remembered how many times gossip had been spread about her and how many people actually knew things about her that she hardly ever spoke of. It was kind of annoying to know that your secrets were so openly exposed, but it made sense when you were trying to take revenge on people.
That’s when she heard him ask what her name was and her mind was taken off the gossip and rumours. “I’m Quinn, Quinn Fabray.” The blonde answered, putting her coffee down on the table. She knew that virtually everyone now knew that her name was Lucy, but no one ever called her that and she still introduced herself as Quinn because if she was honest she was still self conscious about her past. She then felt bad when she realized he’d just been standing there, so she decided to ask for the sake of it. “Ermm... do you wanna sit down?” She asked him, politely not wanting to sound rude.

Dylan had a tendacy to ramble a bit. Sometimes you just had to tell him to shut up. It never hurt his feelings when you did, in fact he'd probably thank you for it, but he enjoyed stories, besides how else would you get to know anyone if you didn't right? He listened as she said he'd learn pretty quick about people talking in this town. He knew about that as well also. Something about small towns and gossip spreading like wildfire. If it didn't the town would probably die. Though, he was going to try and stay out of it as much as he possibly could. He would have to see how long that lasted.
"Just like every one. Also those people that have to stir up the fire." he smiled and laughed slightly. He waited for her name and when she said it, it locked in his mind. "Quinn Fabray. Well it's nic to meet you. Dylan Williamson. I was cursed with the old people's last name." he tried to joke, but of course he probably made himself look like an idiot. He looked around when she offered if he wanted to sit, but he did. "Sure, I mean as long as you weren't expecting anyone. You seemed like you were waiting for someone when I came up." he mentioned about her looking out the window. "Boyfriend? Running late?" he asked her with a slight smirk at the thought. Usually the girls were late.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- Quinn smiled as he accepted her offer of a seat. She’d wanted some time away from her mom and her school worries, but having some company would be nicer than sitting here all alone. She didn’t like being lonely, so he was more than welcome to take the other seat and sit with her. He also seemed like a nice guy, like he actually wanted to talk to her which was nice. The blonde would appreciate the company of someone who didn’t already know her, even if he was probably judging her and would find out the gossip on her sooner or later. It was still better company then being alone, so she could deal with it. “It’s nice to meet you too, Dylan.” She replied, with her usual sweet smile.
That’s when he asked if she was waiting for someone and the word “boyfriend” made something uneasy twist in her stomach but she tried not to show it. Quinn’s love life was a mess at the minute, no questions asked. That’s why most of the time she wished she could just shrink into a small invisible ball and be left alone, but she’d never admit that to anyone. After all, her reputation was damaged enough already and the last thing she wanted was to become even more unpopular then she already was. So, she just tried to keep her unease from showing on her face and quickly answered hoping to get off the touchy, sensitive subject and onto something a little more comfortable.
“No, I...I’m single.” The blonde muttered, sipping her coffee and pretending it was no big deal. It was in fact a major deal, to her anyway. “I was just thinking about...stuff.” She explained, hoping that would be enough to change the subject. “I tend to zone out when I think.” Quinn decided to add, it might give her a better chance of covering up her slight unease and moving on.

He sat down joining Quinn. He still had another ten minutes to spare so why not met a new friendly face right? She seemed friendly anyways, just a nice girl. As she was cute as a button. Awe, that made her sound like a baby or something, but you know what I meant xP. He sipped his coffee and heard her say she was single in a bit of a, 'i dont wanna talk about that subject' type of tone. Coming from a small town, Friendship being smaller than Lima, he was able to sense people very well. "Ah, new kid putting on the awkward conversation." he told her with a laugh. He could tell she didn't want to talk about it, so thats what he meant by his comment. "Score one for me already." he said shaking his head feeling bad for putting her on the spot.
He took another drink from his coffee and listened as she continued mentioning she zoned out when she thought about stuff. "Ah, let me guess...still in high school right? Still dealing with the awkward love affairs, the backstabbing best friends, the geek that wants in your pants, and then to top it off you have the coffee guy sitting across from you rambling on like a clueless jackass." he smirked slightly. "But really, you go to McKinley down the road here?" he asked curiously.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- Quinn laughed, smiling. Then, she took another sip from her coffee and listening to him as he tried to guess about her life. It surprised her just how much he actually got right, though high schools were always the same. Every single school had the same bitches and assholes; here at McKinley it was a whole lot worse. After all, most schools didn’t have slushie facials and a cheerleading coach that was bent on destroying everyone and everything. The blonde couldn’t help but thinking back to when her life was so much easier, she’d transferred and just managed to get to the top of the social ladder. Then, it all came tumbling down after one stupid mistake. It takes years to build up a reputation and seconds to destroy it, she really did understand that quote more than ever now.
The blonde kept her smile bright as he continued, then mentioning himself which made her laugh again. Dylan seemed like a really nice guy, which was cool because if there was one thing Quinn needed it was friends. “Yeah, it’s hell.” She answered, giggling. Though, it was completely and utterly true. “How about you?” She asked, smiling. She was curious, but didn’t want to bombard him with questions and seem rude so she’d stick to one at a time. The last thing she wanted was for him to think she was some kind of crazy stalker who was obsessed about knowing everything, because she definitely wasn’t. She actually liked Dylan as well, he was more mature then a lot of the boys she knew. That’s why she doubted he went to high school anymore, there was just something about him that told her he was over that. He was lucky if he was, he’d managed to escape the horrors of McKinley unlike her.

He was good at reading people. There wasn't a lot back home that he didn't know was going on because he knew everyone and with it being so small he started picking up on certain things that made it helpful to see what others were saying, or rather not saying. Took a few years, but now just by hanging with you for a few minutes, Dylan could tell if something was bothering you, or if you were avoiding something, or whatever the case maybe.
He figured he was somewhere around the money considering she agreed and added the place was hell. Most people didn't like Lima, but so far it had grown on him. He was meeting new people, and it was becoming somewhat entertaining, but then again he came from a town that only consists of 578. That's a small town. When she asked about him that's when the tides had turned. He smiled slightly and took one more drink from his cup of coffee before looking at the time on his watch. "That...is something that will take more than the last five minutes I have left." he said slightly with a smirk. Come on?! What's magic without a little mysterty! [really im running out of ideas, so i was gonna make a new thread for them with all the latest ic drama and stuff so we have more to talk about! xD]
He stood slightly and looked to her. Yes, he was leaving her with nothing about him, but it made all the better for the next meet. You coud call it flirting if you wanted, but at least he knew he'd get another day with her. He walked over to her side and leaned over slightly to her. "It was very nice to meet you Quinn Fabray..." he whispered with a smile before leaving a card on the table with his name on it and his number on it next to a little music symbol.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- She took another sip of her coffee as she waited for him to reply, smiling. Quinn felt her phone vibrate again in her pocket, but ignored it. Her mom really needed to give it a rest already, it was getting so annoying. She felt like she might actually kill her mother sometimes, it was like she was trying to control her entire life. Judy really needed to get the message that her daughter wasn’t a baby anymore and could look after herself just fine. Though, she felt bad for getting her mom panicking, so she knew that she’d have to leave soon. She didn’t want to; talking with Dylan actually had taken her mind off all of her worries. She’d definitely be talking to him again; after all he was a really nice guy and seemed like a good friend.
That’s when he spoke again, her gaze drifting from looking at the table back to looking at him. "That...is something that will take more than the last five minutes I have left." He’d said with a smirk on his face, which made her giggle slightly. Though, she was a bit disappointed that he had to leave so soon. He hadn’t spilled anything about himself, yet she’d told him stuff. That hardly seemed fair, but it just made her smile. She watched him stand, her gaze following him. "It was very nice to meet you Quinn Fabray..." He whispered to her, before dropping a piece of card on the table and walking off. She smiled, laughing slightly to herself before looking at the piece of paper he’d left on the table. After that she slid it into her pocket, standing up and binning the empty coffee cup before leaving herself. She took one quick look, hoping to see him so she could at least say bye but she couldn’t. So, instead she just left and saved his number into her cell phone.
