Quinn waited nervously on stage for the announcement, knowing that it had to be her as Prom Queen – it simply had to be. Finn might not be here, but that wouldn’t stop her from getting what she wanted. They’d been front runners since the very beginning and Quinn wouldn’t rest until she got what she wanted, the crown. She wanted the popularity, the adoring students, all the other girls wanting to be her and every guy wanting to date her. The simple perks of being Prom Queen was all she wanted, was that too much to ask for? No, she could answer that question for herself. Yes, the Prom King wasn’t Finn but that didn’t mean that she wouldn’t get the crown for herself. Santana was being over confident; this was Quinn’s moment and who in their right mind would vote for Santana over Quinn? Nobody, she could answer that question too.
“The 2011 McKinley High Prom Queen is...” Figgins muttered into the microphone before opening the small envelope that would reveal her name and give her everything she’d wanted. “...Kurt Hummel.” The Principle read out, shocking just about everyone at the prom. No, this couldn’t be happening. The blonde couldn’t stop repeating it over and over in her head, it wasn’t possible. That was Quinn’s crown, it always had been. She was supposed to be Prom Queen and rule the school again; this was supposed to be her moment in the spotlight. They couldn’t take it away from her, they simply couldn’t – she wouldn’t allow it. That crown was hers, no matter what anybody said.
The blonde marched off the stage and through the shocked crowd, heading straight out of the door and into the corridor. She wouldn’t – couldn’t – let this happen, Quinn needed to be Prom Queen and she was going to make sure she got what she wanted. That was the moment an idea popped into her head and she waltzed through the hallways, beginning to lock all the exits while everybody else was still in the hall. If Quinn couldn’t be Prom Queen, nobody could as far as she was concerned. Some people could call her psychotic, but she was simply doing the right thing. Everybody knew how much she wanted that crown, they were supposed to have voted for her and they didn’t. This whole situation was wrong and she was going to put it right, now.
Once the blonde had finished locking all the doors, she made her way back toward the hall were everyone was still gathered and she watched as Kurt took the crown. The crown that should’ve been hers, the one that should be resting on her head this very moment. A wave of anger passed through her as she decided to kill the lights, watching as the whole hall went dark. Quinn was going to get her moment in the spotlight, no matter what – or who – she had to go through to get it.

YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL, DROP DEAD!
So far Prom had actually proven to be more enjoyable than she had originally thought. When the posters and fliers had started going up around the school advertising the dance, she'd been unsure if she'd end up going or not. She wanted to, yes, but changes were than no one was going to ask her. But then Mercedes had talked about not going because she didn't have a date, and Rachel knew that she needed to go to the dance, if just to cheer this girl up. So she and the other girl had asked Sam to be their date, and even had a whole plan set out to convince him. It hadn't been as hard as she thought, and when Jesse had shown up in the auditorium, things just seemed to fall into place even better. Which is how she found herself in the school's gym, swinging around between Sam and Mercedes. Jesse had been escorted out of the school not much earlier, after engaging in a fight with Finn. She had been mad for a bit, mostly because she found the whole thing stupid. She wasn't with Finn anymore, hadn't been for months, and suddenly he felt like he had any right to punch her date? But not long after the spectacle had died down, Mercedes had grabbed her hand, and pulled her out onto the dance floor, the skirt of her pink dress flowing out around her. Now she stood between Mercedes and Sam, glancing up at them with smiles as the nominees for Prom Queen lined up on stage. Quinn, Santana and Lauren all looked quite beautiful in their dresses, but she knew that the crown was going to be situated on the blonde's head in only a few minutes. Why wouldn't it? Quinn was everything one could want in a prom Queen. Beautiful, smart, popular...even though she had lost quite a bit of her popularity and social standing on the ladder, Rachel knew many people still admired her. It was inevitable that she be chosen as prom queen. But then when the name of the queen was announced, the whole school fell silent. Rachel glanced over at Kurt in shock, watching as he took off through the doors a couple seconds later. She was about to go after him when she noticed Blaine taking off in the same direction. Pleased to know that someone was going after him, Rachel looked around the auditorium and noticed Quinn storm off the stage as well, catching only a glimpse of her blue gown trailing behind her. They weren't friends by any means, but Rachel wanted to make sure the other girl was doing okay after that bomb dropped. She had only made it just outside the doors of that lead out of the gym when the lights went off, causing her to jump in surprise. Her hand let go of the door she had been holding open, and she heard it close with a heavy slam behind her. Oh no, this cannot be happening, Rachel thought to herself, quickly scrambling for the handle of the door. She had never liked the dark, even though she was seventeen and should be way over the childish fear by now. But she never knew what could be hiding in it, and Noah had made her watch enough horror movies over the years that she had learned to be jumpy when the power went out. Especially when she was stuck alone somewhere. "Hello!" she called out, banging on the door slightly when she couldn't quite find the handle in the dark. "Could somebody let me back in?" Rachel hoped her voice didn't sound as panicked as she was beginning to feel, trying to find the door handle once more. ooc: OUTFIT; words: 630; notes: told you I ramble. Quinn’s heart was racing, she knew what she was doing was wrong but why should she stop? This was supposed to be her night and they’d all ruined it, why should she be nice to them? That crown was hers without a doubt and she would get it, not matter what she had to do. This night was meant to end with smiles and adoring looks coming from all directions, instead she’d have to be the one in the background. The loser and Quinn certainly wasn’t having that. She needed that crown like she needed to breath; her perfect night had been ruined.
It was suppose to play out like a fairytale, the blonde as Cinderella and Finn as her Prince Charming. She was suppose to get up on that stage, be crowned queen and have a romantic dance with Finn before she began socializing with everybody again and being shot to the top of the social ladder in an instant. She wanted the power, the popularity and it turned out all she would get was well, nothing. It only occurred to her then the real reason why she’d lost, the real reason why nobody had voted for her. Rachel. Rachel had been the cause of her downfall, that stupid brunette was always getting in the way and taking away everything that should’ve been hers. The whole school knew that Finn didn’t really love Quinn that he’d rather be with Rachel then with the blonde bombshell.
In that moment the blonde hated Rachel so much she could hardly think straight, though her thoughts were broken when she heard movement. Quinn automatically reached for the door handle, slamming the door behind whoever it was. She could hardly see herself when it was so dark, but she didn’t care. She wanted revenge, simple as. She deserved that crown and they’d all taken it away from her, so whoever it was deserved it. That’s when a voice broke the silence and it made an evil smirk appear on the blondes face. This was so much better then she’d first thought when she’d closed that door, it was the one person she’d been longing to see ever since a few moments ago.
Rachel Berry. She was always in the wrong place at the wrong time and in this case, it was the very wrong place, at the very wrong time. Quinn stood there for a moment, completely still. Rachel deserved whatever the blonde would decide to do to her. After all, she’d taken away that crown and it wasn’t like Quinn didn’t understand why she had done it. She’d always been jealous of what Finn and the blonde had, she knew that Rachel had always wanted to ruin it. She always got to do whatever she liked and was never affected by consequences, but tonight would be different. Quinn was going to make sure she felt the consequence of stopping her from being Prom Queen, she deserved it or at least that was what Quinn thought and at this moment she was the one with all the power.
Quinn managed only just to see Rachel slightly in the dark, but she also managed to locate her with the direction of the brunette’s calls as she banged on the door. The blonde took a step toward her, shaking ever so slightly with anger. “Rachel, nobody will hear you.” Quinn said, still smirking slightly. Her voice sounding much more menacing from the echo’s that the empty hall created. “They’ll be too busy worrying about themselves to bother with you.” She continued, taking another step toward the girl. The blonde had no idea what she was going to do at the time, but you could bet that it wasn’t going to be pretty. After all, Quinn had been at the top once and anybody who had ever tasted what that felt like knew that the one thing that was important was revenge. So, she was kind of an expert on it now. It would take some time to plan it out in her head, but it’d be worth it in the end.
Quinn only wanted to be Prom Queen and Rachel had gotten in the way of that, which meant that she would have to be put back in her place. She had to realize that she couldn’t stop the blonde when she set her mind to something, because she was popular and Rachel wasn’t. Rachel was at the very bottom of the food chain, she needed to be shown were she belonged and it was about time someone did just that. So, Quinn would be more than happy to guide the girl back down, even if she did have to use force. It didn’t really matter, the whole school had put up with Rachel’s nonsense and she was pretty sure she wasn’t the only one who hated her right now. The brunette had been nothing but trouble ever since she entered Q’s life, so it was time she showed her just how harsh and cruel popular kids could be.

YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL, DROP DEAD!
Okay, now she was certainly starting to worry. Rachel knew that with the lights suddenly going out, and everything, people would be panicking, but surely they would hear her pounding against the door and yelling, right? She couldn't hear much noise from inside other than Figgins faintly trying to calm everyone down, telling them that the lights would come back on soon and not to worry. She was trying, she really was. But there was just something about being the only one locked outside with no one else, especially when the lights had randomly gone out. It had to be a power failure, of course. What else would it be? No one would play something like this as a prank. If anything they would pull the fire alarm, but the lights was something that had to do with faulty wiring. Slamming her open hand against the door once more, Rachel winced slightly as the sting from the impact traveled through her palm up to her arm. "Hello!" she yelled out once more. Someone by now had to have noticed she was missing, and they'd come check, right? Mercedes and Sam, especially. She had been with them all night, and now she suddenly wasn't. They would notify Figgins, she was sure, and the door would be opened once more. Seconds ticked by and she could only hear some of the students and the school's principal from the other side (how sound proof were these doors? That was another worry she didn't want to think about.), and Rachel growled in frustration. She was wearing heels that were killing her feet, a princess dress that she actually loved but couldn't wait to slip out of, and her arm was hurting from pounding against the door so much. Couldn't someone just open the door already? The brunette let out a sigh that was a mixture between angry and annoyed. If this was a prank it was seriously getting old, and she knew that she couldn't keep yelling in hopes that someone would hear her. It would damage her vocal chords, and that was something she wouldn't allow, prank or not. She had been so wrapped up in her own thoughts that she hadn't heard someone approach her until a quiet voice spoke. Rachel almost jumped out of her skin as she quickly turned her head towards where it sounded like it was coming from. Her eyes had just barely adjusted to the darkness, and she could only just make out a figure standing not far from her, a prom dress and heels on. When the person spoke again, Rachel frowned slightly as she began to recognize it. "Qu-Quinn?" she asked, her voice laced with a hint of surprise, "Did you get locked out here too?" She hoped so, that way she wouldn't be on her own, but there was something about the way the blonde girl had said the words that sent a chill up her spine. Something in her tone...malicious, perhaps? No, she had to be imagining it. Rachel shook her head slightly to rid herself of the thoughts, her ponytail swinging behind her as she did so. She could hear Quinn's heels against the ground as she took a step closer to her, and Rachel instinctively took one back. Not because she was afraid of Quinn (though she was certainly freaking out a bit), but because she couldn't really see the other girl and Rachel had quite a large sense of personal space. "Is everything okay?" she asked, trying to keep her voice from breaking slightly, though a bit of her panic managed to seep through. "I, um, I wanted to make sure you were okay. After they announced the Prom Queen, you kind of ran off, and I just..." She wasn't sure why she broke off, but Rachel found herself taking another step back, her back hitting the solid frame of the door behind her. Her brown eyes had adjusted a bit more to the lack of light, and she could see Quinn a bit clearer now. The older girl looked as stunning in the low amount of light as she had under the spotlights on stage, but what threw Rachel off was the look on her face. She couldn't easily tell, but she was pretty sure that Quinn looked angry. Furious even. Swallowing the lump that seemed to form in her throat, Rachel glanced over towards where she could still hear a bit of the commotion happening inside the prom. "What do you think happened to the lights?" she asked, glancing back over towards Quinn. The blonde just seemed to be watching her silently, and it was unnerving Rachel more than she would like to admit. She had never liked silences, always felt the need to fill them when they happened, but this time she couldn't seem to think of anything to saw. What did she say to the girl who she had practically been enemies with since she moved to Lima? They had never really gotten along, that much everyone knew. Quinn was popular and beautiful, and could have the school at her feet just by snapping her fingers, and Rachel was just the Gleek who constantly got slushies thrown at her face. Two polar opposites, which was probably why they had never managed to be friends or even really acquaintances. "So...what are you doing out here?" ooc: OUTFIT; words: 900; notes: I see your 843 words, and I raise you 900. XD |

Quinn couldn’t stop the look of anger creeping into her gaze as her eyes adjusted a bit more to the light and managing to fully make out Rachel. Her whole mind was focused on revenge and she couldn’t help but love the idea of finally getting her own back on the brunette. There had been a countless number of times when Quinn had felt like punching Rachel in the face or the feeling to push the girl back into her proper place on the social ladder. True, they had had moments were they had been slightly nicer to each other, but Rachel would always be the same; Stuck up and ignorant. She was so self centred it was unbelievable sometimes, which made her even more annoying then she already was.
The blonde knew what she was doing was wrong, that she should turn the lights back on and unlock all of the doors before she completely lost her mind. Though, she there was a part of her that was urging her to go on and get what she wanted. That was the part of her that had taken over and she even seemed to be enjoying it. The terrified or at least panicked look on Rachel’s face was just too sweet for her. It was almost scary how much Quinn was actually enjoying this, but she didn’t even notice. She was more focused on planning her revenge and she didn’t care to think about anything else at this time, because she wanted Rachel to panic and be terrified. She should be after all; Quinn was not the type to take prisoners. Sue had once been her role model and taking prisoners had never been her style, so it simply wasn’t the blonde’s style either.
Quinn watched as Rachel like a lion watched its prey. The blonde didn’t usually let herself get this angry, but she couldn’t help it tonight. The announcement had made her feel like someone had just punched her in face, so why should she stay calm? They were supposed to vote for her and they hadn’t, they deserved it. Rachel was different though, Rachel was the reason she’d lost. She always found a way to ruin the blonde’s life and now, she’d had enough. She could take away Finn, she could make her lose her popularity, but she could not stop her getting the title of Prom Queen. It was a simple fact that, that crown belonged to her and Rachel had gotten in the way.
“Qu-Quinn?” The girl stuttered, surprise showing in her voice. “Did you get locked out here too?” She asked, but the blonde stayed silent. There just seemed to be something about the silence that Rachel didn’t like and Quinn would use that to her own advantage. Then, the next time she spoke the panic showed in her voice and the blonde couldn’t help but smirk again. A part of her was telling her that it wasn’t Rachel’s fault, she should just forget about it and go back inside, but that part was being ignored for the moment. As her eyes followed the brunette who took a couple of steps back, her back hitting the wall. “What do you think happened to the lights?” She continued after asking her if she was okay, not that Rachel would actually care about that. “So...what are you doing out here?” The brunette asked, obviously curious but panicked as well.
A simple smile spread across the blonde’s face as she pushed her bangs out of her eyes and behind her ear. “So many questions,” She muttered, taking one more step forward in her heels that made a sharp sound when they hit the floor. “but I suppose you deserve some answers.” Quinn continued, confidently. She wanted Rachel to be afraid, but she also wanted the brunette to be quite clueless to the actual situation they were in. Her panic made the blonde smile; it was kind of scary how much she was enjoying this – not that Quinn cared at all. “I happened to the lights” She replied, still smiling. The blonde held all the cards here and Rachel didn’t, which basically meant that Quinn was in control of everything. After all, there was so much commotion happening inside the hall – from what the girl could here – that there was no way they’d ever realize someone was missing, especially someone as annoying as Rachel. “and no, I didn’t get locked out here.” She also answered, not telling her exactly why she was out here. Why tell the girl everything? Why not make her even more scared? Her panic was simply delicious and Quinn liked it, which meant that she would definitely not be letting that go.

YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL, DROP DEAD!
Rachel wasn't sure if she should feel as panicked as she was. Her fear and weariness of the situation was only amplified because of her own thoughts and worries, right? Of course there wasn't anything that would actually happen. Her eyes had adjusted a bit more to the darkness, and Rachel could see Quinn more clearly. The look on her face was still one of anger, but she had just lost to title she had been campaigning for since who knows how long ago. She could definitely understand being angry about that, Rachel was always mad when Mr. Schue didn't give her a solo that she obviously deserved. But there was something about Quinn's expression that deeply unnerved her. She had to be imagining it, though, right? Why would Quinn look like she was a predator stalking her prey? Rachel reached behind her almost unconsciously, splaying her hand against the wall as she tried to find the door handle once more. The only sound she could hear was her own breathing and voice when she spoke. But other than that, Quinn had stayed silent, and it was starting to unnerve her even more. She didn't like silence, at all. And while she was definitely more talkative than the blonde in front of her, Rachel knew that Quinn had more than once shared her own thoughts in a long stream of words. Even though they may not have been as much as she could say in a breath, Quinn still talked, even if it was mostly to insult someone. And honestly, Rachel was kind of hoping that the blonde would say something, even if it was just another insult to cut her down once more. The other girl being so silent made her nervous, even more so because she could feel her eyes on her the whole time. What was going through her head? Rachel wondered to herself, looking around quickly. The hall was dark, almost darker than the rest of the area it seemed. She knew that most people were either inside at the dance, or home, off work. Most of the chaperons had been teachers and student parents, but the rest of the staff who hadn't volunteered had gotten the night off. Briefly Kurt flashed through her mind, and she wondered if he and Blaine had gotten back inside or not. She really hoped they did, even if there was a whole commotion happening in there. Rachel's forehead crinkled slightly as Quinn spoke for the first time since she had gotten out here. Her voice didn't reassure her as much as she had thought it would, however. It was low, quiet and cold sounding, which caused another chill to go up the brunette's spine as she listened to it. And...did Quinn just say she was responsible for the lights? "What...what do you mean?" Rachel asked hesitantly, wishing she could back up further as she heard Quinn's heels against the floor once more. She was pressed as far back as she could be against the wall, and unless she wanted to try ducking around Quinn, she was pretty much pinned in place. She could probably do it, she knew; years of getting slushie facials and taught her how to duck around the larger football players and move around them quickly to avoid getting hit by the cold drink. "What do you mean you're what happened to the lights, Quinn?" she asked once more, this time her voice slower as she tried to piece together what happened. She was pretty sure loosing prom queen sucked, especially for Quinn, who thrived on the popularity and all, but cutting the lights and sending everyone into panic mode seemed ridiculous, and unnecessary. Why would she cut the lights? Rachel could see a smirk playing on the blonde's lips, but it wasn't her normal taunting one. Yes, it was still taunting, but there was something angry and almost malicious behind it too. The brunette swallowed thickly as she relaxed ever so slightly at the other girl's last words. At least she hadn't gotten locked out here, which gave her a little sense of relief. Maybe Quinn would know how to get back in; once she calmed down and turned the lights back on, she'd be able to find the door handle and get back inside and rejoin her friends. "Um, so do you know how to get back in then?" she asked hesitantly when it became clear that Quinn wasn't going to say anything else. ooc: Outfit; words: 754; notes: No worries! xD Mine's shorter than yours, so it's all good. Quinn rolled her eyes at Rachel obvious stupidity when she asked about what the blonde meant by here being what happened to the lights. Sometimes that was the most annoying thing about the brunette, her obliviousness to what was actually going on in a situation. She’d meant it when she said that Rachel lived in a ‘school girl fantasy of life’ because it was one hundred percent true. She never actually realized what people were trying to do or say, unless they said it directly. Though, sometimes the most annoying part of her was her constant need to be right or her failed attempts at trying to climb the popularity scale. All of those things just kept adding up to make for one heck of an annoying girl and that was doubled by the fact that she couldn’t see how annoying she actually was. She never realized that she was never going to climb the social ladder and that the glee club would never be popular, instead they all had to deal with it as it came. Rachel never seemed to see the truth about any situation and it just irritated everyone.
That was when the brunette’s voice brought her back out of her thoughts and into the real world again. The real world where the good part of Quinn had been clouded with hatred and was currently only focusing on taking her revenge on the pathetic girl that was in front of her. The girl who always managed to ruin the blondes life without even trying, which was just another annoying quality in Rachel. “Um, so do you know how to get back in then?” The brunette asked, still totally oblivious to what was really happening. “Yeah, I know how to get back in but I’m not going to tell you.” She muttered, taking one step back and leaning on the door. Why should she let the girl back into the hall? It would be a lot harder to get her revenge that way and plus, out here nobody would hear what was happening or being said. This was the best situation to be in for her and she held all the cards, she definitely was not giving it up until her revenge was taken on the girl that had stolen her crown.

YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL, DROP DEAD!
Rachel was definitely starting to worry as she watched the blonde girl. She seemed lost in her thoughts, and it so happened that she was staring at Rachel with her unfocused eyes. Quinn's normally bright blue eyes seemed almost cold, and the expression on her face was one that Rachel could only describe as hatred. It was starting to freak her out, to be honest. She wasn't sure what was going through the blonde's mind, and if even the thoughts were directed at her, but the look was making goosebumps break out over her skin. Rachel had seen Quinn mad plenty of times, furious even, but those seemed to pale in comparison to this time. The other girl's voice brought her thoughts back into focus, and Rachel looked back over at her as Quinn's heels clicked against the ground once more. The way that the words were said made her even more nervous, and she swallowed once more before looking around the deserted hallway, flicking her eyes over briefly towards the door Quinn was leaning against. Why hadn't her friends come out to look for her yet? Surely the had to have started to worry. And where were Jesse and Finn? Had they been escorted off campus, or were they somewhere around the school? There had been times when Rachel had told her fathers that she worried about her health while at school - not like her immune system, but like her physical well being when it concerned the students of the school and their sadistic enjoyment of making others suffer. "What did you do, Quinn?" she asked hesitantly, watching the older girl carefully. Surely nothing dangerous, right? She couldn't even imagine Quinn doing something that would put someone in danger, no matter how mad she was, or how much she hated her. "I demand you let me back in right this instant, Quinn Fabray!" Rachel exclaimed, resisting the urge to stomp her foot. It was her way of masking her fear, falling back onto her normal demanding attitude. She hoped it would have the desired effect, but she couldn't be sure. Not with the way the other girl had been acting so far. It was seriously starting to make her feel scared, and she briefly wondered about the other students inside the gym once more. Quinn carried on watching the brunette, her glare filled with hatred. She never once took her eyes off Rachel, although it was hard to see in the dark light. The blonde wanted to just punch her in the face, but that would be too easy and not really revenge at all. So, instead she would wait until the perfect plan came to her and until she felt like she had revenge. Though, she did want to stop this madness and open the doors, turn on the lights and pretend none of this had happened but there was a part of her that was willing her to continue and that was the part of her that had control at the minute. It was like someone else was controlling her, but she knew that it was her fault and she also knew that she was powerless against herself. That’s why the blonde had to go with it and even though she was hesitant to admit it, she was actually enjoying this. Seeing Rachel so panicked and frightened was actually making her happy in a sick, malicious way.
The blonde began playing with a piece of her hair which had fallen out of her up-do, while she listened to the brunette’s demand. It was typical Rachel, even in the dark with no chance of getting back into the gym she still managed to be annoying. Quinn rolled her eyes at her usual demanding attitude, the whole situation seemed normal when Rachel talked like that and this whole thing was definitely not normal. Though, Q was not intimidated by the petite brunette and didn’t move an inch. Then, when she mentioned about Sam and Mercedes realizing she was missing she sighed at the remark. “Look Rachel, because you seem totally oblivious to what actually is happening here I’m going to explain it for you.” She muttered, her eyes still focused on the girl in front of her. “I’m the one that locked the doors, I’m the one that turned off the lights and I am not letting you back in there.” She explained, the tone in her voice didn’t change at all. “Mercedes and Sam will be too busy worrying about themselves to even notice that your missing and if they do realize you’re gone they won’t be able to get out to find you.” The blonde continued, confidently.
She was pretty sure that if someone even tried to get out of that gym it’d be virtually impossible, after all she’d been cheer captain twice and it had been her job to know her way around that gym like the back of her hand. So, Quinn knew how to make sure it was properly locked and she was pretty confident in the fact that she’d locked up properly. Though, she wasn’t completely certain but she’d had enough practice at hiding her uncertainty and that meant that it didn’t sure in her voice or in her facial expressions. Although, it looked like Rachel didn’t have that skill yet because it was obvious how scared and nervous the brunette was. Her pathetic attempts to hide it had been an epic fail, it was almost funny.

YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL, DROP DEAD!
Rachel could feel the blonde's eyes one her, almost burning a hole through her by how hard her stare was. While she had always wanted to be the center of everyone's attention, the way that Quinn was staring at her just made her feel uncomfortable, and made her fear mount as well. There was just something about how it almost seemed that she blonde was watching her, almost unblinkingly that had her worried. There was something going through the girl's head, and whatever it was, Rachel was sure that it somehow involved her in a negative way. But while she and Quinn had never, ever really been friends, Quinn had never really gone out of her way to physically hurt her. She had never thrown slushees in her face, only stood on the sidelines and laughed when it happened, and other than some of the pictures that she had drawn of her in the bathroom and rude things that she had told her, that was really the extent of Quinn's cruelty. More than once she had threatened her physically, but she'd never once actually gone through with it. But this time Rachel was worried that she just might if she said the wrong thing, or did something. When her demand was met with nothing other than a stony stare, Rachel opened her mouth once more, almost ready to stomp her foot. She was tired of whatever this game that Quinn was playing was, and all she wanted was to get back to her friends. But just as she was going to say something, Quinn spoke once more. Her eyes widened in horror at what Quinn was saying, shaking her head. "But...why?" she asked, watching the other girl carefully. "All this because of a stupid, horrible joke that was played on Kurt?" Her tone was incredulous, and Rachel was almost certain that in any other situation she would have told Quinn to get over it. Maybe not in those words, but she couldn't understand why everyone made such a big deal over this whole prom queen thing. She had never attended the dances before, and while it was normally because she didn't have a date or some friends to accompany her, the whole drama surrounding a plastic crown had never been quite something she understood. "Look, Quinn, I'm sorry that you didn't win. I'm sorry that this whole school felt that it was more important to play a cruel joke on one of our peers rather than vote seriously. But there is absolutely no need for this! What you've done is ridiculous, and -" Rachel broke off, not entirely sure what to say next. From the blonde's earlier words, she had a feeling that Quinn wouldn't care what she had to say at all. Not wanting to make her any angrier than she already was, Rachel glanced around the hallway once more, straining her ears for any sounds or sights of people who had gotten out before this whole thing happened. "I think you're being ridiculous, all over a crown, and I demand you let me back in this instant!" She finally said once more, her voice raising in tone as she returned her eyes to Quinn once more. ooc: Outfit; words: 539; notes: So sorry this took forever, Zoe! And I'm sorry it's kinda bleh! XD |
