Small towns had never appealed to her. Amelia James was used to the high rush and busy streets off LA or New York. A small town girl was never something she saw herself as but at this precise moment in time, that was exactly what she was. However, Amelia was here on business - to write and record songs for her debut album. Most people had told her she was crazy for choosing Lima but when she finally explained that her father was born here they eventually got it. Being the daughter off a famous musician definitely had its perks, the main one being that when she finally decided she wanted to follow in her father's footsteps, it was easy for her to do so. She had all the right people just a phone call away, all willing to help her. However she insisted on writing her own songs, she wanted people to be inspired by her words and being in Lima she believed would help her feel closer to her Dad and enable her to fully express and write her emotions down.
Today however was not about work. Seeing as she had literally just landed in Lima the night before, Amelia had decided upon a day of exploring. Grabbing her camera and car keys, the blonde headed out with her car. She had chosen to drive to a place called Westerville, if memory served her correctly, she was sure her father told her that there was several beautiful gardens and parks in the area. Pulling her car into a space, Amelia placed her camera over her shoulder and locked up the car. The first thing she noted was how quiet the place was, in fact, it seemed the perfect setting for a horror movie. Lonely girl wandering deserted streets, it seemed a little too perfect.
Amelia carried on slowly walking down the street, a sigh of relief escaped from her mouth as her eyes fell upon the form off a cafe. "Coffee" the word escaped from her lips in an almost excited squeal as she practically skipped towards the entrance. Having left in a rush earlier, the thought of her coffee craving had skipped her mind. A smile formed on her lips once the cashier had taken her order and she nodded in thanks when the cup was passed over.
With coffee in hand, the blonde was ready. Making her way further down the street she eventually saw signs for a park. Glancing over her shoulder, she made sure to make a mental note of her surroundings to ensure she wouldn't get lost when trying to find her car. Eventually walking through the park, Milly found a grassy area that was surrounded by rows and rows of flowers. Placing her bag and coffee on the floor, she knelt down and immediately held the camera up to her eyes. Using the focus, her eyes fell upon the most unique and unusual flower she had ever seen. The petals were specked with almost a thousand different colors. It was nothing like she had ever seen before. A small grin spread across her face as she began to click away. She had always said that from the moment she had first looked through a camera lens, she knew that she could find magic in unexpected places and right now, that was happening.
