Quinn had enjoyed the night so far, it had been so much fun and it was just over halfway through. She was so glad that she’d gone with Sam, although they had gotten a few looks and stares from other students – mainly, the Glee Club kids but she knew they would be supportive so that didn’t matter too much to her at all. The blonde tried to focus on having a good time, rather than what other people thought of who she’d appeared with. After all, there were a few other couples that nobody would’ve expected to go together and that made her relax a bit more – at least Quinn and Sam wouldn’t been Jacob’s main targets for the night. Although, she’d hardly seen him around anywhere at all. She couldn’t help but wonder why, since at a school event like this he was usually everywhere and anywhere. Quinn tried to draw her thoughts away from that subject, focusing on not embarrassing herself in front of her peers and Sam. Luckily for her she hadn’t done anything that would cause her embarrassment so far, for which she was glad since there was nowhere to hide here.

The blonde’s thoughts returned to Sam after she’d finished her few seconds of worrying, which made her smile. After the hell she’d put him through last year she still couldn’t believe he’d got back together with her, it still felt like a dream even after the few weeks they’d already spent together. It was like every time she fell asleep or heard the sound of her alarm clock she expected to be back in the world where she had screwed up life and no way out of it. Although, she always awoke to this reality that felt more and more surreal with every second that passed. He’d been such a gentleman throughout the whole night, which had been nice and sweet. It made her realize just how much of an idiot she was forever letting him go and thinking what happened between herself and Finn could ever be fixed. She’d been so naive and idiot to think that they could patch up their relationship; she just hoped it wasn’t the same this time with Sam. Quinn could already see a difference in how they were treating each other now, compared to how she and Finn treat each other when they’d reunited. Sam made everything easier and more natural, rather than the complicated situations that had arose when dating Finn. Although, she did still like Finn but only as a friend, if that.

“I’m gonna go get us drinks, be back in a minute.” She smiled at Sam, kissing him lightly on the cheek before wandering off to the punch bowl. The blonde took a quick look around to see if she could spot anyone else worth talking to, because so far she’d really only had proper conversations with Sam. She hadn’t even spotted Santana and Brittany yet, because she was pretty sure they would go together as well. She just guessed that they were trying to ‘lay low’ or something like that; she’d find them later on or something. Quinn then began getting the drinks, when she couldn’t help but overhear her own name and her curious side took over. The blonde put down the drink cups and slowly shifted her weight over to where she could make out what the two people – who she didn’t seem to recognize – talking about clearly.

“Have you seen Quinn and Sam together?” She heard one of them say, it was a girls voice but still not one she recognized. Although, she guessed it would probably be a fellow Cheerio or something like that. “Yeah, their cute together.” Another voice replied, still unfamiliar but still female. A smile spread across her face at that comment, she was glad that she wasn’t the only one who thought that. “You can tell it won’t last though, it didn’t last time. I heard he has feelings for that Rachel girl as well, you know? That Jew who’s always putting gold stars after her name?” The girl continued, obviously not realizing that she was stood behind them. “According to Jacob, he made a move on her last year or something... The stranger muttered, although Quinn tuned out there. That was all she wanted and could bear to hear of that conversation.
