" Hey, my name's Thomas, or Tom. I just turned eighteen and I'm a senior at McKinely High. I have no problem lettin' yall know I'm bisexual. That's right, BI. BOTH. Which means none of you are safe."
"So you want to get to know me, eh? Well, what's NOT to know? I love my ma, she's a great lady; we've been through a lot. Go on and call me a Mama's boy, I'll beat your face in. I love her and she's my strength.
I hate rude people, HATE them. I mean, I get that our generation is nothing but brats but at least hold the damn door open for the person behind you. Seriously. And I hate it when people interrupt me.
I really don't know what my dreams are beyond high school. I would love to be the guitarist of a band, or maybe a model. Some friends from Hamburg said I'm a good writer, so I guess I could try that. I just don't want a suit & tie job.
I got some killer designing skills; I designed a few online magazine covers back in Hamburg. My future is really vague, I don't know what I'll do. It's exciting when I think about it. "
" I don't know why we needed to move here from Hamburg. We were doing good for ourselves there. I mean sure the last few asses Ma dated were bad, but this last one...after our move to the States he just up and left.
Since I can remember, Ma and my Dad have never been together. It's always been me and her, and every so often a 'man-friend' of hers. We've had a mixture of good and bad, but the last four or so have just been asses. This last guy, Cheka, had Ma eatin' out of the palm of his hand. She had been using the money for our Bills to buy stuff for him. When we went without gas or electricity for the third time because she didn't pay the bills, I set my foot down. That was the worst argument of my life.
After that she told him she couldn't buy stuff for him anymore, and he told her he had a job in America. He'd take care of her, he said. BULL. We packed up our thing, not even caring about my friends or future in Hamburg, and ended up here in Lima, Ohio. After we settled in Cheka tried to get me to sell drugs for him. I told him no, and then he just left. It took Ma and me a few months to find jobs, and during that time I played on the streets for chump change. The apartment manager was nice enough to let us stay for three months without paying. Once the money started coming in we payed him back. I don't know what we would have done if we had to live on the streets.
So right now we're living in a small apartment not too far from my school. Ma works as an Art Teacher, and I have a part-time job at Breadstix, and on the weekend I help out with Ma's class. We're doing alright. Things aren't as nice as our place in Hamburg, but it's comfy.
When I transferred to McKinely at the beginning of my senior year, I kept to myself for a bit. But I've been hearing about the Glee club and it sounds kind of cool. I mean I can't sing to save my life but I've been wondering about playing guitar for them. "
" Hallo! I'm Lani, and I've been roleplayin' for almost eight years now! I'm a recent Gleek, and now I can't get enough of the show! The easiest way to contact me would be at my yahoo account, IM or Email doesn't matter, mystique_author. "
" His first day off in a while and Tom found himself going back to school. Well, that wasn't entirely true. He was going to Hogmeade, which wasn't Hogwarts but it was close enough that the students could go there and, not really mingle or party, relax, that's the word. They could go relax and chat with friends, look at shops, go on dates, (not that Tom was going on a date. Merlin no. Not again. Not after 'The Date Game'.) and get away from school. So if the students were trying to get away from boring school, why was Tom going back towards it? 'The answer's not goin' to change no matter how many times I ask myself.' he thought as he tied his bandana around his head. He looked at his reflection in the mirror and was flooded with a desire to punch it. He turned away and took a deep breath. He was planning to apparate to just outside of Hogsmeade but he was nervous. He had passed his apparation test towards the end of his school year but it had taken him several tries (only three more) until he passed. Now he was apparating to work and only messed up twice; both times he had only just apparated outside of the ministry. He hadn't apparated as far as Hogsmeade though, so that added to her nerves. He looked around his loft and noticed he left his wallet on the coffee table. He grabbed it, made sure it had money-both Muggle and wizard. Satisfied he took a breath dissaparated with a loud 'crack'
When he landed he wobbled for a moment before his mind caught up with him. He looked at his soundings and smirked. He was just outside of Hogsmeade, as planned. He began walking and waved at t the familiar faces of the shopkeepers. He checked his watch and decided he could spare a few minutes looking around. He left early in case he apparated to the wrong place, but now his nostalgia was getting the better of him. He entered Honydukes and made a bee-line for the chocolate frogs. He got a few assorted sweets, the frogs, lemon drops, Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, Cauldron Cakes, and Sugared Butterfly Wings for his twin, Bill, his parents and a cute witch that worked in the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes, and of course, himself. As he went to pay Tom debated on how many bags did he want to carry. He smiled and asked the women to put some of each candy in a smaller bag. He didn't think his mom would mind a few less candies, Bill might, but he'd have to deal. So he exited and headed to the Hogshead with a peace offering. Skye would do one of two things: accept it or be upset and leave with the candy. Granted there was a possibility she WOULDN'T take the candy but Skye loved food, so that was unlikely
Tom checked his watch again and found he still had time to kill, so he would get there early which is what he wanted to do. So technically that would mean he was on time. The sign of a bleeding beheaded pig came into view and so did a tall figure walking into the pub. A jab of nervousness hit Tom. He recognized that unique hair, even at just a glance, and he only knew one girl that tall. Now was the moment of truth. He continued walking and stepped into the pub. He kept his head leveled, and dared not meet the eyes of anyone besides Skye. He found her at a table in corner of the bar, looking at her lap. He smirked when he got to the table and gently placed the smaller bag on the table. "Hey. You look good." He said smiling. "Were you waiting long?" "
